Not Leak Proof Jul 02, 2010 I like the Bottle Tops and how they work. Pressing straight down onto a Diet Pepsi can locks it into place. No chance for leakage there.
The problem is that the lid you open and close is not leak proof. The first two I've tried, if the can is set on it's side, will begin to leak from the lid. If the can is simply knocked over, I saw no leakage. If the can is knocked onto the floor, the carbonation will cause leakage. This kind of surprised me, but not having the Bottle Top would've resulted in an even bigger cleanup.
I like this item, but if you're looking for something to hold your drink's carbonation, you'll be disappointed.
It Works, but Not Exactly Simple to Use May 04, 2010 I was excited when I first heard about this product. I am a drink sipper and hate to waste leftovers; however, when I purchased this product, I found that while it is nice,it is not the most simple product to use. Once I tried to "gently" squeeze the top over my can an nearly smashed the entire can! lol!
I also have managed to make it work, but have to strain to get it to snap, and I'm sometimes nervous about the possibility of smashing the can while I'm just trying to get the top to snap on. The good news is that once the top in on, it stays. I have not experienced any leaks. It keeps the drink fizz and seems easy to be removed.
I continue to use this product for my canned drinks becuse I havent seen anything better for the job, but its not the most simple product to use. Definitely not for the elderly, and it can be embarrasing at lunchtimne on the job when coworkers see you straining to get the top to pop on! lol!

It really worked! May 03, 2010 This is not a toy; I don't know why it's in the toy section. Maybe it's because people like my husband tend to come home with this kind of stuff if you don't give them a list and tell them to stick to it. When he pulled these out of the bag, I was almost as livid as the time he tried to tattoo himself with a permanent marker. (He claims the Sharpie tattoo would have worked if I hadn't stopped him, but like the number of licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop, the world will never know.)
Anyway, I have two problems: I love sugary soda, and I am a klutz. We're talking Bella Swan someone-has-to-carry-me-everywhere klutz. If it *can* happen, it WILL happen to me. Plus, I just lost some weight and don't want to gain it back, but I don't want to totally give up sugary soda. (I swear I only use it for medicinal purposes.) So we've been buying those expensive 12 ounce mini bottles because the smaller amounts help me to drink less, and you can't reseal a can-- but now you CAN. Eureka! I've got puns AND a resealable can!
These tops won't keep the soda fizzy. As discussed elsewhere, you'd need a pressurized lid for that. Also, while the black caps prevent spillage, they're not tight enough to keep fizz. However, I tend to down a soda in one sitting anyway, and you have the same problem with a bottle. Open the can, put on the bottle top, and it works pretty much like they say it will. I can lay this sideways on my bed with no leakage, and I can get the more affordable cans.
If you're willing to wash something like this (and it's not difficult), it will pay for itself after a few cases of canned soda. How long it will last after that, I couldn't say... but hubby had a good idea for a change, and that has to count for something.

Big surprise - not as advertised May 01, 2010 Ok - first of all, the purpose of these, I thought, was to keep the fizz in left over canned beverages. Hmmm - It didn't work for me. Opened a canned softdrink, used one of these tops, and 8 hours later went to drink the leftover. Yuck! It was flat and like drinking syrup. Also, they are not the easiest things to put on. I am glad to see they are working for some people, but my daughter and I were very disappointed.

A waste of money! Apr 12, 2010 After spending ten dollars on these I was highly disappointed. You have to push very hard to get them on the cans. After you manage to finally get the bottle top on the can and take a drink you notice that your drink is all over the top of the can. After you empty your can and want to take the bottle top off, get ready for a struggle. I was actually cut trying to get the top off of my can, then when it finally broke free my soda splashed all over me from where it ended up on top of the can. And btw, the can was a mangled mess by the time I got the bottle top off. Save your money. It was a huge diappointment for me.
