I'm not a mixologist! Oct 20, 2011
By Nelson Herman This product looks like it would work. I used almost all of the colors trying to match the color I needed and still no success. I wouldn't recommend this if your leather does not have a common color

The heating iron's round end piece is too big for all applications. Aug 16, 2010

This repair kit does work. However, it would be better if there were multiple attachments for the heating iron, because the heating iron's round end piece is too big for all applications. What it did for me, was flatten the leather pattern, in an area around the repair.
Not as easy as it looks and with questionable results Feb 12, 2012
By J. Grant I attempted to use this kit to repair a leather car seat. The base glue worked well to fill in the crack. The color filler did not adhere well to the glue or the leather. I was unable to transfer a grain with the enclosed iron to the filler as described in the instructions. Color matching was a challenge. I completed the repair with an acceptable, but not perfect, color match and no grain pattern. In the last 3 months, the color filler has worn off completely, but the glue is largely intact with minor cracks. I'm looking for a better product to try again. I saw an add for a 3M product that may have promise. I gave it 2 stars, instead of 1, because it may have worked better on a different type of tear or leather that gets much less wear.
