Not too impressed! Aug 18, 2009
By Barbara S. Whitlock Used one of the cloths first - absolutely useless (see my previous review on just the cloths posted in July(?). I thought maybe I had to "do" something to it first in order for it to work!!!! Hosed a sliding glass door, used the cloth to soak it all up - it did nothing but move the water around, an old towel worked better. The mop came next with great anticipation and anxiety! Well, the little black thingy on the end keeps coming off; it's not that easy to "coordinate" the squeezing out, and works only marginally better than some of the the other sponge mops I've purchased for a few bucks. Won't replace it, not worth it, don't waste your money

practically perfect in every way Jun 23, 2010
By Sarah Dudley Fabulous mop. Even if I don't sweep first it easily makes the floors and stairs look great with little fuss.
I use the toilet bowl for my mop bucket. This allows me to have fresh water quickly as the cleaner, polish, dirt and miselaneous floor debris are flushed away.
The mop head holds up well in the washing machine, but I would still reccommend buying at least one spare mop head.

Worst Mop I've Ever Owned Jan 12, 2011
By C. Kasten I picked this up for $9 with some of the cloths at a drug store on special to replace a StarMop my husband cracked. It does NOTHING but push around the liquid. It's a weird felty sticky mess that gets twisted up and tangled the first time you use it. In order to get the head off to wash it (you'll want to wash it every time because nothing will rinse off in the sink) you have to reach INSIDE the (filthy, nasty, wet) mop head, twist off a recessed knob and grab the pole INSIDE the mop head to release it. Let me tell you how pleasant that was after cleaning up a 3-year-old's vomit.
Twisting the water out of it was a nightmare and if you have laminate floors, you CANNOT get enough water out of it not to leave a bunch streaked all over the floor. Worse than useless. I just got finished buying another StarMop that lasted two years last time - unlike the two minutes this piece of junk lasted. Boo. Worse than one star.

I use to have a tile floor and this mop is easy for me to use. It does not work if it is dry you have to get it wet first and wring it out. Then it will work and it works better for me than those string mops and you can tell when your floor is clean.
