1Maybe it should be called: "EZ Quacker" cause it will make you nuts!  Mar 26, 2010 By David
They had to have made at least 50 TV camera "takes" of this product cracking an eggs because, let me tell you, it fails 80% of the time! It breaks the yoke; it doesn't work well on small eggs, you really need to use extra large eggs with it - then it doesn't separate wide enough for the yoke to fall out; and it breaks the yoke in the process of cracking the egg, most of the time. And the "yoke catcher" for egg whites? Hah! It can't catch the yoke if it's broken because the yoke's liquid volume being greater than the catcher's capability. And, egg shell does occasionally fall into the bowl. For $20.00 it's the most expensive piece of junk AS SEEN ON TV!!! Please, save yourself some cash, aggravation, and don't even waste your time trying to get a refund, because it just ain't happening! After dozens of attempts to crack an egg like shown on TV, I made it a true EZ Cracker...because I easily cracked it to pieces and threw it in the trash.

1Do not waste your money  Feb 19, 2010 By cavegirl "cavegirl"
We ordered this as a favor for a family member, who asked us to go ahead and try it when it came in. Let me say that I am SO GLAD that it wasn't our money that was wasted on this product. The egg holder does not securely hold the eggs, so they were slipping all around while we tried to crack them. Once we managed to get the eggs stabilized, we had trouble getting the blades to pierce the shells. On one egg, the bar at the top actually cracked the egg instead of the blades. It was difficult getting the shells out of the thing after they were cracked, also. We ended up with egg all over the stove and our hands, and bits of egg shell in the skillet. It is a lot cleaner, easier, and cheaper to simply crack the eggs on a bowl or the edge of skillet.

1egg cracker  Mar 17, 2010 By MB in NC "MB in NC"
Maybe I got a bad one but my personal experience was: It cracks eggs ok but it really doesn't seperate the shells far enough for the egg to come out. After spreading the shells manually, the egg may fall without the yolk broken. Now it's time to maually get the shell out of it. Buy this time, everything is all sticky including my fingers. I washed it and me for every egg. I only tried it 3 or 4 seperate occations and it has been in the draw ever since. sorry but I wouldn't reccomend this one. I thought it was a great idea and I really hoped it would work because egg cracking for me is not one of my things in the first place.

3Decent Product, but not perfect  Feb 19, 2010 By Cory Tolliver "Agent C Note"
I saw the commercials for this product and thought it would work great because I eat egg whites after every workout. This by no means is exactly what the commercials claims. This works best on the biggest large eggs; it struggles to crack the smaller of the large eggs. Many times even on the perfect eggs it will still crack the yolk, and since I eat egg whites the yolk goes right into the pan and the catcher cannot stop the liquid yolk. Many times on perfect eggs the egg shell small pieces end up in my pan. Several times with perfect eggs the yolk catcher cannot keep the yolk in it then I have to fish it out of the pan with my hands. i would say about 50% of the time this product works fine, but that is not the best percentage for a $20 product.

1Save your money, time and agrivation  Mar 23, 2010 By Eagles Arie "Fair and Balanced"
This product simply doesn't work. I have returned it. It doesn't crack and seperate the egg but crushes the egg in two places top and bottom. The reason I bought this product was to peal hard boiled eggs. The supplier told me it should peel eggs but it only breaks them in half with the shell on. Their CSR told me it had to be my fault when there is only one way to put the egg in the cracker.
The vender had to send the separater after I told them that it didn't come with the product. I was told they would send it only if I took down my first review. This vendor is not the As Seen On TV company but a company with a deceptive name "As Seen On TV Products". Proceed with great caution.
